From Katahdin to Kearsarge Pass

I ran into Desert Fox for the first time on this trail in Big Bear Lake. I hadn’t seen him since we finished the Appalachian Trail together on Katahdin in Maine in September of 2009. Neither of us knew the other would be on the PCT this year, so it was a nice surprise to see an old friend. We’ve been hiking within a day of each other recently, so there have been plenty of opportunities to catch up.
